Today, we're turning to a fresh page in my smashbook to explore the theme of the Summer Solstice 2024. The solstice is just a few days away, and I want to anchor into its energy and significance.

The word "solstice" comes from the Latin word meaning "sun stands still." In the Northern Hemisphere, it marks the longest day of the year, while in the Southern Hemisphere, it signifies the longest night.
This moment of balance between light and shadow is a sacred time in the natural cycle of the year, a time to be still and reflect.

For me, the Solstice is a time to reflect on the past year, to honor the balance between the light and the shadow. It's a moment of stillness and transition as we move from one season to the next. In the Northern Hemisphere, we're shifting from spring to summer, while in the Southern Hemisphere, it's a transition from autumn to winter. This change is not always easy; it can be messy and challenging, but it is also a time of growth and transformation.

As I prepare for the Solstice, I feel drawn to the symbol of the Vesica Piscis, two overlapping circles that represent balance and unity.
